IBPS PO Application Fee for the CRP PO/MT-XVI recruitment process was ₹175 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates and ₹850 for all other candidates, including General, OBC and EWS categories. Both amounts were inclusive of GST. The application fee and intimation charges had to be paid through online mode only. The online fee-payment window for the current recruitment cycle opened on 1 July 2026 and, after extension, closed on 26 July 2026. Therefore, as of 12 September 2026, the IBPS PO application and fee-payment facility is closed.
Candidates applying for the Probationary Officer/Management Trainee recruitment should understand the IBPS PO Category Wise Fee, accepted payment methods, transaction charges, e-receipt requirements and correction fee rules. The fee is an important part of completing the online application because successful submission of form details alone does not complete the application process if the prescribed payment is not successfully processed.

IBPS PO Category Wise Fee
The IBPS PO Application Charges are different for candidates belonging to specified reserved categories and candidates falling under the “all others” category. The fee prescribed under CRP PO/MT-XVI was inclusive of GST.

The IBPS PO Fee for SC ST PwBD candidates was ₹175, while the IBPS PO Fee for General Category, IBPS PO Fee for OBC and IBPS PO Fee for EWS candidates was ₹850. Candidates should note that the reduced ₹175 fee was specifically prescribed for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. Candidates not covered by these categories were required to pay the fee applicable to all others.
IBPS PO Fee Payment Dates
The initial official notification provided the IBPS PO Fee Payment period from 1 July to 21 July 2026. IBPS subsequently extended the registration and online fee-payment deadline, and the final IBPS PO Fee Payment Deadline became 26 July 2026.
The official CRP PO/MT-XVI application portal confirms that online registration closed on 26 July 2026 and online fee payment was available from 1 July 2026 to 26 July 2026. Candidates can no longer submit a fresh application or make the regular application-fee payment for this recruitment cycle.
IBPS PO Payment Mode
The IBPS PO Online Payment process was conducted completely online. No offline fee-payment method was prescribed for the CRP PO/MT-XVI online application.
Candidates could make the payment using the payment options available through the online gateway, including:
- Debit Cards such as RuPay, Visa, MasterCard and Maestro
- Credit Cards
- Internet Banking
- IMPS
- Cash Cards
- Mobile Wallets
- UPI
Candidates were required to provide the details requested on the payment screen and complete the transaction through the available payment gateway. The actual availability of a particular payment option could depend on the payment gateway displayed during the transaction.
IBPS PO Bank Transaction Charges
The ₹175 and ₹850 amounts were inclusive of GST, but candidates should not confuse these amounts with the total amount that might have been debited from their bank account. As stated in the recruitment instructions, bank transaction charges for online payment had to be borne by the candidate.
Therefore, any applicable gateway or bank transaction charge could be added separately while completing the IBPS PO Application Payment. Candidates should always verify the final amount displayed on the payment screen before authorising a transaction.
IBPS PO Fee Receipt and E-Receipt
After successful completion of the online transaction, the system generates an IBPS PO E-Receipt. Candidates were advised to retain the e-receipt along with the system-generated online application form containing the fee-payment details.
If an e-receipt could not be generated after attempting payment, candidates were advised to check whether the transaction had actually been completed successfully. A payment attempt should not automatically be treated as successful merely because the payment process was initiated.
The IBPS PO Fee Receipt, final application form, registration number and password should be preserved for future reference. Candidates were not required to send the printed application form to IBPS or participating banks merely after completing the online application procedure.
IBPS PO Application Edit Window and Correction Fee
IBPS provided a separate IBPS PO Application Edit Window after closure of online registration. For CRP PO/MT-XVI, the edit window remained available on 29 July and 30 July 2026.
Only candidates who had successfully submitted their completed application form and paid the prescribed application fee/intimation charges during the registration period could use the correction facility. A candidate was allowed to correct and re-submit the modified application only once during this edit window.
The IBPS PO Correction Fee was ₹200 inclusive of GST. This correction fee applied uniformly to candidates of all categories. The correction fee was separate from the regular application fee.
Details That Could Not Be Edited
During the correction window, certain important details submitted in the original application were locked. These included the candidate’s Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, State/UT in correspondence address, State/UT in permanent address, Post and Nationality. Candidates therefore had to ensure that these details were entered correctly during initial registration.
Category Change Rules During Correction
IBPS also prescribed specific rules for category modification. Candidates originally registered under SC/ST/PwBD could change only within the permitted SC/ST/PwBD grouping. Candidates registered under General/EWS/OBC (NCL) could make category changes within the permitted categories, including a change to SC/ST/PwBD where applicable.
If a candidate changed from General, EWS or OBC to SC, ST or PwBD during the permitted edit process, the application fee already paid was not refunded. Only the latest application successfully modified after payment of the applicable correction fee was treated as valid.
Important Instructions for IBPS PO Fee Payment
Candidates should carefully verify their personal details, category, educational information and payment details before final submission. The application procedure should be considered complete only after the required stages of online registration and applicable fee payment have been completed successfully.
Keep the registration number, password, final submitted application form and payment e-receipt safely stored until the recruitment process is completed. Candidates should also avoid relying on unofficial payment links or websites claiming to accept an IBPS PO fee after the official deadline.
For CRP PO/MT-XVI, the regular fee-payment window ended on 26 July 2026 and the separate application correction window ended on 30 July 2026. Therefore, candidates should not make payments to any third-party website claiming that the current IBPS PO application or correction facility is still open.
IBPS PO Application Fee – Current Status
As of 12 September 2026, the IBPS PO Application Fee payment process for CRP PO/MT-XVI has concluded. The application registration and regular online payment facility closed on 26 July 2026, while the edit/correction facility closed on 30 July 2026.
Candidates should use the official IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI page for recruitment notices and any further updates. For the current cycle, the verified application fee remains ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹850 for all other candidates, inclusive of GST, with bank transaction charges payable separately by the candidate.
