IBPS Clerk Notification 2026 has been released by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the recruitment of Customer Service Associates (CSA) under CRP CSA-XVI. A total of 11,403 vacancies are available in participating Public Sector Banks.

IBPS Clerk Notification 2026 Out
IBPS has released the IBPS Clerk Notification 2026 for Customer Service Associate posts. The recruitment is being conducted under CRP CSA-XVI for 11 participating Public Sector Banks.
Candidates required the prescribed graduation or equivalent qualification, applicable age eligibility and other conditions when registering. Fresh online registration is closed; registered candidates should follow the separately notified portal facilities.

IBPS Clerk 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the eligibility rules given by IBPS. The main requirements are nationality, age, graduation, computer knowledge and local language.
Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India; or
- A subject of Nepal; or
- A subject of Bhutan; or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
- A Person of Indian Origin who migrated from the countries listed in the official notification with the intention of permanently settling in India.
IBPS Clerk Age Limit 2026
The candidate should be between 20 and 28 years as on 1 August 2026.
For the basic age limit, candidates should have been born not earlier than 2 August 1998 and not later than 1 August 2006.

IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Computer Literacy
Candidates must have basic computer knowledge. Computer knowledge can be shown through a certificate, diploma, degree, or by having studied Computer or Information Technology as a subject in school or college.
Eligible Ex-Servicemen who do not have the normal qualification should check the special education and service conditions given in the official notification, including the Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificate.
Local Language Requirement
Candidates should know the local language of the State or Union Territory for which they apply. They should be able to read, write, speak and understand the required language.
IBPS Clerk 2026 Online Application
The IBPS Clerk online application process ran from 1 August to 28 August 2026. Fresh registration and application-fee payment are closed. IBPS has separately provided a State/UT and bank-preference update facility from 18 to 23 September 2026 for registered candidates. This limited facility does not reopen fresh registration or every application field.

IBPS Clerk 2026 Selection Process
The IBPS Clerk selection process mainly includes the Prelims and Mains examinations. There is no interview for the Customer Service Associate post.

Local Language Proficiency Test (Qualifying)

Candidates who produce a Class 10 or higher marksheet/certificate showing study of the specified or opted local language are exempt from the LLPT, subject to document verification.

Is There Sectional Cut Off in IBPS Clerk?
Yes. Candidates have to meet the required qualifying standard in the sections as prescribed by IBPS. Candidates should not focus only on the total score.
IBPS Clerk Negative Marking
For every wrong answer in the objective exam, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question is deducted. There is no penalty for an unanswered question.

Candidates should choose bank preference carefully. The choice can affect the bank allotted after final selection.

IBPS Clerk Salary 2026
The clerical pay scale begins at Rs 24,050. A graduate entrant receives the prescribed two advance increments, giving Rs 26,730 basic pay, subject to the bank’s fitment order. Employees also receive admissible special pay and allowances; gross and in-hand pay are not one universal figure.
