The IBPS RRB Office Assistant recruitment process consists of Preliminary and Main examinations only. There is no interview for this post, and the final selection is made solely on the basis of the marks secured in the Mains examination.

The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I (PO) selection process includes Prelims, Mains, and Interview stages. However, the final merit list is prepared based on the Mains and Interview scores only. The Prelims exam pattern for both Office Assistant and Officer Scale I is identical.

A negative marking of 0.25 marks is applied for every incorrect answer. All tests are conducted in an objective (multiple-choice) format.

For IBPS RRB Officer Scale II and III, the recruitment process involves a single online examination followed by an interview. The single exam is largely similar in structure and difficulty level to the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Mains examination.
