IOCL Admit Card 2026 has been released for candidates who are going to appear in the Indian Oil Corporation Limited Executive Recruitment Computer Based Test. The call letter became available on 17 September 2026 through the IndianOil careers portal.

If you have applied under Advertisement No. IOCL/CO-HR/RECTT/2026/01, this is the right time to download your hall ticket and check the exam-related details mentioned on it. The IOCL Admit Card contains your exam date, reporting time, allotted test centre and important instructions that you need to follow on the day of the CBT.

One practical suggestion for candidates: do not leave the download for the last moment. The current call-letter window is available from 17 September to 24 September 2026. The CBT is scheduled for 24 September 2026. However, your individual reporting time, gate-closing time and exam venue should always be checked from your own call letter.

IOCL Admit Card 2026: Latest Update

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has activated the IOCL Admit Card Download facility for the 2026 Executive recruitment. A total of 470 vacancies have been announced across Grade A, Grade A0 and Grade E0.

The recruitment covers posts such as Graduate Engineer, Officer (Marketing), Law Officer, Assistant Quality Control Officer and Diploma Engineer. The detailed recruitment advertisement was issued on 14 August 2026, while the online application process closed on 3 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.

What Should You Check on the IOCL Hall Ticket?

Downloading the admit card is only the first step. Spend a minute checking every important entry printed on it. Your name, registration or roll number, post or discipline, exam date, reporting time, gate-closing time and examination venue should all be clearly visible.

Also check whether your name on the IOCL Admit Card matches the photo identity proof you plan to carry. A small mismatch noticed at home can be handled much more easily than discovering it after reaching the examination centre.

If any general information you read on a website is different from the instruction printed on your individual hall ticket, follow the details mentioned on your official call letter. Candidate-specific timing and venue information on the admit card should be treated as final.

Documents to Carry with IOCL Admit Card

Before leaving for the examination, keep your documents together instead of searching for them at the last minute. Candidates need to carry the printed examination call letter along with a currently valid photo identity proof in original and a photocopy of the same ID.

The identity proof should carry the same name as your call letter. Valid photo ID documents listed for the recruitment include PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter ID, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photograph, Employee ID and other acceptable photo identity documents mentioned in the recruitment instructions.

Ration Card and Learner’s Driving Licence are not treated as valid identity proof for this purpose.

Candidates should also affix a recent recognisable photograph on the call letter, preferably the same photograph used while completing the application form. A simple exam-day check should be: IOCL Admit Card + original photo ID + photocopy of the ID.

IOCL CBT Exam Pattern 2026

The Computer Based Test consists of 100 objective-type questions. The paper is divided into General Aptitude and Domain Knowledge.

General Aptitude includes Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability of English Language. The second part tests the candidate’s Domain Knowledge. Knowing the structure beforehand can help you manage your time better inside the examination hall.

Each question carries one mark. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer. Section A is followed by Section B in the fixed order prescribed for the test. Eligible candidates using a scribe are given compensatory time according to the applicable rules.

IOCL CBT Qualifying Marks

Candidates should keep in mind that IOCL has prescribed both section-wise and overall qualifying requirements.

General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates need at least 40% in each of Section A and Section B and 45% overall. SC/ST candidates need 35% in each section and 40% overall. For PwBD candidates, the requirement is 25% in each section and 30% overall.

Simply securing the qualifying marks does not mean automatic selection for the next stage. Candidates are shortlisted further on the basis of their CBT performance and the applicable recruitment criteria.

IOCL Vacancy Details

The 2026 Executive recruitment includes 470 vacancies in total. Out of these, 411 vacancies are under Grade A, 9 under Grade A0 and 50 under Grade E0.

What Happens After the IOCL CBT?

The recruitment process does not end with the computer-based examination. Candidates shortlisted after the CBT move ahead to the Group Discussion, Group Task and Personal Interview stages.

For preparation of the merit list, the CBT carries 85% weightage. Group Discussion and Group Task together carry 5%, while the Personal Interview carries 10%.

Shortlisted candidates will also have to produce the required original documents for verification. So, if you are appearing in this recruitment, it is sensible to keep your educational certificates, category documents and other relevant records organised in advance.

Important Exam-Day Instructions

• Check the reporting time printed on your IOCL Admit Card and reach the venue well before it.
• Do not assume that reporting time and exam-start time are the same.
• Entry after the gate-closing time mentioned on the call letter may not be permitted.
• Carry your printed call letter, original valid photo ID and a photocopy of the same ID.
• Make sure the name on your identity proof matches the name on the admit card.
• Read the centre-specific instructions printed on your IOCL Call Letter.
• Do not carry prohibited items mentioned in the examination instructions.
• Requests for change of centre, venue, date or session are not entertained as per the recruitment conditions.

IOCL Admit Card 2026: What Candidates Should Do Now

With the examination close, candidates do not need to complicate things. Download the IOCL Admit Card early, check where your centre is located and calculate how much travel time you will need on exam day.

Keep your documents and clothes ready the previous evening. If the examination centre is unfamiliar, checking the route beforehand can save unnecessary stress in the morning.

The actual CBT duration is 150 minutes, although candidates may have to spend considerably more time at the venue because of identity verification, document collection, login formalities and exam-related instructions.
