Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess graduation in any discipline from a recognised
University or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree must ensure that the passing date
is on or before 31 December 2026.

Can Final-Year Students Apply?

Yes. Candidates in the final year or semester of graduation may apply
provisionally, provided they can produce proof of having passed graduation on
or before 31 December 2026 if provisionally selected.

Eligible trained apprentices of SBI can receive bonus marks equal to
2.5% of the maximum Main Examination marks, which is
5 marks out of 200, subject to satisfying the conditions
mentioned in the notification.

SBI Clerk Local Language Rule

Candidates applying for a State/UT must be proficient in the specified opted
local language of that State/UT in reading, writing, speaking and understanding.

Candidates who produce a Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet/certificate showing
that they studied the specified opted local language will not be required to
undergo the language test.

Other provisionally selected candidates must qualify the Local Language
Proficiency Test before joining. Failure to qualify means appointment will not
be offered.

Can You Apply for More Than One State?

No. A candidate can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only
under this recruitment project and can appear for the test only once.

The candidature will be considered only against the vacancy of the State/UT
selected in the application.

There is generally no provision for inter-circle or inter-state transfer for
Junior Associates recruited under this project.

The notification provides limited intra-state transfer exceptions between
Delhi Circle and Lucknow Circle within Uttar Pradesh and between Mumbai Metro
Circle and Maharashtra Circle within Maharashtra, subject to SBI guidelines.

Graduate Junior Associates receive two advance increments, making the
starting basic pay ₹26,730.

The notification states that starting emoluments at a metro location such as
Mumbai are around ₹46,000 per month, including DA and other

Newly appointed Junior Associates will be on probation for a minimum period of
6 months. They are required to complete prescribed e-lessons
during probation for confirmation in the Bank.
